Dr. Ally Yamaki
Dr. Ally Yamaki joined Dance Dentistry in 2018 and is so grateful to be able to care for her patients and their families. She became a pediatric dentist to give kids the same positive, nurturing experience she had as a young patient herself.
Born and raised on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, Dr. Ally left the sun and sand to attend the University of Washington in Seattle. She continued her education at the University of Southern California Dental School where she discovered her love of pediatrics and joined the Air Force through the Health Professions Scholarship Program.
After graduating dental school, Ally completed a 2-year residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Maryland in Baltimore where she learned to eat Blue Crab and survive winter.
Having crisscrossed the country going to school, she found herself crisscrossing the world as she entered into Active Duty service with the US Air Force in Aviano, Italy. There she met her husband Brent and together they shared their love of travel, food, and adventure while being stationed in San Antonio, TX, Misawa, Japan, and finally Biloxi, MS.
With a young family, they finally found their home in North Idaho and are enjoying everything our beautiful IdaHome has to offer. Along with their son, Fin, and daughter, Isla, they enjoy camping, spending time on the lake and skiing. Dr. Ally loves to cook (and eat!), practice yoga, and travel.
What to Expect
The Experience
When you and your child first walk through our doors, you’ll be welcomed by our fun, comfortable environment and our friendly office staff. You can relax as you fill out any new patient forms, while your child explores our kid’s play area and enjoys our great amenities. Once the forms are complete and your dental assistant is ready, we’ll invite you back into one of our operatories.
Your little one will receive a cleaning, a comprehensive exam, and x-rays. Afterward, the doctor will sit down with you to discuss the results. If everything looks good, you can schedule their next appointment at the front desk. If anything needs extra attention, the doctor will explain the findings, address any questions or concerns you might have, and provide recommendations for further treatment.

Your time is valuable to us! In order to help make your visit more efficient, we ask that you bring the following items to your appointment:
